Hazard has previously admitted his admiration for Real and his departure to Barca would come as a huge shock to fans of the La Liga side and Chelsea.

The Belgium international claimed in June he was happy at Stamford Bridge and had no intention of leaving the Premier League champions.

"I’m good here. I’m at one of the best clubs in the world and I think I’m going to stay for a couple of years. I’m very happy," he said.

"You can see on the pitch that I’m happy.

"Next season, we will have the Champions League to play but we want to keep the Premier League trophy in Chelsea.


"It’s going to be hard but we know [people] expect a lot from Chelsea now.'

However, the departure of Neymar to PSG has presented him with a huge opportunity which has reportedly switched his allegiances.

Speaking today about his record-breaking £200m move to PSG, Neymar said: "I am extremely happy to join Paris Saint-Germain.

"Since I arrived in Europe, the club has always been one of the most competitive and most ambitious. And the biggest challenge, what most motivated me to join my new teammates is to help the club to conquer the titles that their fans want.

"From today, I will do everything I can to help my new teamates, to open up new horizons for my club and to bring happiness to its millions of supporters around the world."
